ICA, Intercongregation Communities Association, began in 1971 serving the communities of Minnetonka, Hopkins, Excelsior, Woodland, Deephaven, Greenwood and Shorewood.  Their clients are your neighbors who find themselves struggling to make ends meet.  Most ICA clients work, but do not make enough money to cover the basic needs of their families.  Their unique approach serves over 840 families each month and not only offers food, but also employment and financial assistance.

Food can be picked up by their food distribution program either by appointment or walk-in if the need is urgent. Their financial assistance program helps clients with financial aid such as rent, mortgage, and utilities. The employment assistance aspect of ICA helps their clients through support in their job search. This can include interviewing skills, developing networking strategies, and exploring career paths.

ICA believes that their presence in our communities makes our neighborhoods more stable and secure. Learn more about ICA at icafoodshelf.org.
