One of our partner organizations, Meals on Wheels, will be hosting their biggest fundraiser of the year on Aug. 3. Meals on Heels is the party with a purpose. The event will take place at the Harriet Island Pavilion in St. Paul and will include food and beverages from top Twin Cities restaurants and breweries. There will also be games, raffles, entertainment, and of course the Swank Soles contest! One man and one woman champion will take home a prize valued at $250, so break out your craziest/hottest/most fabulous shoes for this event!
All of the proceeds from the event benefit Metro Meals on Wheels, which supports the delivery of more than 1 million meals each year to people unable to leave their homes or make their own nutritious meals. Metro Meals on Wheels is the association of 32 Meals on Wheels programs in the Twin Cities metro area. With their program partners, they lead the effort to make sure people in our community receive the nutritious meals and the human connection they need to help them live independently.
