The Food Group (formerly Emergency Foodshelf Network) is a local hunger relief nonprofit focused on healthy food access. They procure food through wholesale purchasing, large scale donations, food drives, local farms, orchards, garden partnerships, and farmer’s markets. Their warehouse and operations in New Hope allows them to collect, store, and distribute this food to a network of partners and individuals. The food is distributed to over 200 local food shelves, meal programs, subsidized housing buildings, schools, and reduced cost mobile grocery sites. The Food Group’s reach extends to families living in over 26 counties in Minnesota. |

Most of our clients work, but do not make enough money to cover the basic needs of their families. We offer food, employment assistance and financial assistance. |

Loaves and Fishes is a nonprofit meal program in Minnesota, serving hot, healthy meals to those in need for over 30 years. With 18 dining sites throughout the state, the program serves over 1,700 meals each day. |

Metro Meals on Wheels is the association of 35 Meals on Wheels programs in the Twin Cities metro area. With our program partners, we lead the effort to make sure people in our community receive the nutritious meals and the human connection they need to help them live independently. The Emergency Food Assistance Program and Minnesota Food Shelf Program alleviate hunger by providing food to low-income individuals and families who have exhausted other resources to meet basic nutritional needs. Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) offers monthly assistance to low-income households to purchase nutritious and well-balanced foods. 50 public and private organizations make up the Nutritious Food Coalition, which raises awareness and participation in SNAP and provides guidance to better serve Minnesotans in need of healthy food. |

For more than 30 years, Minnesota FoodShare has partnered with local food shelves to bring food to those in need in communities throughout the state. The Minnesota FoodShare March Campaign brings together hundreds of companies, civic groups, schools and congregations to help keep 300 food shelves statewide stocked throughout the year. This grassroots campaign is our most enduring program but far from our only effort to help the hungry. |

Open Arms of Minnesota cooks and delivers free, healthy meals tailored to meet the nutrition needs of people living with cancer, HIV/AIDS, multiple sclerosis and ALS (Lou Gehrig’s disease). With the help of more than 2,400 volunteers, they will deliver nearly half a million delicious meals this year to clients, caregivers and dependents across the Twin Cities metro. |
